Strictly Ballroom not going ahead

The AMTC Committee and the Strictly Ballroom Production Team would like to thank everyone who showed an interest in the production of Strictly Ballroom.  Unfortunately we have to advise that the planned production can not proceed, due to significant casting difficulties.  Who knows, in the future this may change and AMTC can again consider Strictly Ballroom as a viable option.  However, we are throwing around other ideas for our November production, so please check the website, or the AMTC Facebook page regularly.

Stars of the Eisteddfod

We are nearing the end of a month of the City of Shoalhaven Eisteddfod competition – a wonderful time of high standard performance from the young Performing Arts students and school students of our region.

The Stars of the Eisteddfod Concert will be held on Saturday 22nd June to celebrate this 35th Eisteddfod Shoalhaven. The attached invitation (below)  invites interested people to attend.

Strictly Ballroom Information Night

AMTC are excited to be staging, from November 1-10, the musical version of Baz Luhrmann’s much-loved modern Australian classic, Strictly Ballroom – a joyous, colourful, hilarious and romantic tale about finding your true voice and dancing to your own beat.

Dancers, singers, actors, musicians and crew interested in joining our Strictly Ballroom cast are urged to attend this information evening on the 30th of May in the Sunset Room at Bomaderry Bowling Club for a 7pm start where we’ll outline the production and characters as well as detailing audition and rehearsal requirements.
