Annie Is Coming to Town

|
The Production Team for our 2020 show “Annie” is almost complete, but we are seeking expressions of interest for the significant role of choreographer. Annie is set in Depression era New York City and we intend to invoke an authentic representation of the era, including in the style of movement.
If you are a skilled choreographer with excellent communication and collaborative skills, have experience working with children and adults and are enthusiastic about this production, you are invited to submit an expression of interest by email to Annie@AMTC.org.au. The closing date for expressions is 20/11/19. Your expression of interest should include a resume of your skills and experience, your reason for applying and any thoughts you have about how you would envision the choreography for numbers like “Hard Knock Life”, “Easy Street”, “Fully Dressed” and any others you wish to add. If you are selected, you will be expected to commit to the full program of auditions and rehearsals which will commence on February 8 and culminate in six performances from June 26 to July 5 at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre. Rehearsals typically are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and there will be occasional Sunday rehearsals. Dates are available on application. There will be a public information night on Wednesday Jan 29 at which we would expect to introduce the production team. You will also be expected to become a member of AMTC, have or obtain a Working with Children Check and abide by the AMTC Code of Conduct. Please be aware that there will be a dog in the production. |

The Addams Family coming to the SEC

AMTC is very pleased to announce The Addams Family will be coming to the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre, with 6 performances between the 1 – 10th November.
“The Addams Family is a musical comedy, with music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa, based on the book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice. The show is centred upon The Addams Family characters created by Charles Addams in his single-panel gag cartoons, which depict a ghoulish American family with an affinity for all things macabre” (Wikipedia).

Strictly Ballroom not going ahead
The AMTC Committee and the Strictly Ballroom Production Team would like to thank everyone who showed an interest in the production of Strictly Ballroom. Unfortunately we have to advise that the planned production can not proceed, due to significant casting difficulties. Who knows, in the future this may change and AMTC can again consider Strictly Ballroom as a viable option. However, we are throwing around other ideas for our November production, so please check the website, or the AMTC Facebook page regularly.
