Popular Musical Set To Return

The ever-popular musical, “Jesus Christ Superstar “, is coming back to the stage in  Nowra . Albatross Musical Theatre Company is reprising the show, originally performed  at the  Nowra School of Arts in 2001. The show was a great success and popular with audiences and the cast alike.

AMTC is sure the show will be bigger and better in 2021, having moved to the Shoalhaven  Entertainment  Centre where better sound and facilities are available….and a slightly bigger band. The show will play in November for six performances.

Anyone interested in being a part of this production is invited to attend an Information Night at Nowra School of Arts Annexe on Wednesday 21st April at 7.00pm.

Areas of participation include both on-stage and off-stage areas of production. Come along and find out how/when you can audition for a role in this marvellous show (lead or ensemble)  or how to get involved in the many areas of production ( band, stage crew, costuming , makeup, sound , lighting , set construction etc ).

JAM Information Night

Please book in for one of the two upcoming information sessions

We have created a ticket system so we can keep up to date with numbers to ensure we are Covid safe.

We have two sessions 4pm and 5.15pm on Wednesday 27th January 2021. Please limit attendees to JAM age children only (10 – 15 years) and one parent if possible.

You know how we love having all the JAMFAM all the time, but we need to be sure we can socially distance appropriately. Please consider attending the first session if you do not have work commitments, allowing working parents to attend the second session.

AGM Notice

Notice is hereby given of the 46th A.G.M. of the Albatross Musical Theatre Company to be held in the Nowra School of Arts Annexe, Berry Street Nowra, on Thursday 18th February 2021, at 7:30pm.  Members are welcome to attend.  Membership fees will be collected.

The Last Five Years

AMTC is excited to launch our next show! The Last Five Years will be performed in January at the Nowra School of Arts. Each performance will feature cabaret table seating – a special night out, with food, wine and the much-awaited return of live musical theatre in the Shoalhaven. The show season will feature a silent auction and raffles, and AMTC are asking for donations of goods or services that could be auctioned off or raffled during the show run. Jesus Christ Superstar

AMTC’s production of Jesus Christ Superstar was moved to 2021, due to COVID restrictions during the intended 2020 season.  

Further information concerning an Information Night, show season etc will be published here and on Facebook, as soon as possible.  The show is now planned for November 2021.
